This mask only protects the person wearing the mask. The mask will not protect other people because of the exhalation valve that makes breathing much easier. The N99 mask offers better protection than the N95 or KN95 masks and is much more comfortable to wear for extended time periods. The N99 filters 99.1% of airborne particles while the KN95/N95 filters only 95% of airborne particles. The N99 mask is great for working alone where more protection from airborne particles and comfort are desired. The mask is not made in China! The mask is made by Honeywell's Sperian division in Tunisia. Size is medium/large.
